RAIN or Shine only has Thursday to prepare for its next game against Converge in the PBA 50th Season Commissioner's Cup.
The Elasto Painters, league-leaders with a 5-0 win-loss slate, were on the heels of a grindout 116-112 victory over San Miguel on Wednesday where they held onto their lead after being up by as many as 25 points.
Head coach Yeng Guiao said the 1-4 record that the FiberXers currently carry isn't the true reflection of what they can truly do. After beating Macau to open the conference, Converge has lost four in a row with the stretch marred by injuries to Juan Gomez de Liano and Calvin Abueva.

Guiao said the FiberXers are capable of beating RoS despite the former's struggles.
“Mabigat na kalaban ang Converge,” he said. “Yung 1-4 record nila doesn't reflect how strong they are. Parang naghihintay lang ng tamang panahon. 'Pag nag-jell sila, mahirap talaga talunin yun. Mabigat lineup nila.”
RoS out of gas?
Guiao said there is some concern of fatigue, as Rain or Shine won over the Beermen after enjoying a 34-13 advantage in fastbreak points.
“Merong konti (concern), pero sanay kami. Yun talaga laro namin eh,” he said.
“Takbo lang kami nang takbo. Sa practice namin, halos dalawang oras kaming takbuhan nang takbuhan. Kailangang ma-translate sa real game.”
Adrian Nocum said the Elasto Painters have prepared themselves for this week's schedule, and agreed Converge is definitely not to be taken lightly.
“Alam naman natin yung Converge. Matibay din yung lineup. Sabi ni coach, konting adjustment na lang ito pagdating ng Friday. Ensayo kami, trabaho pa rin,” he said.
