GLOBALPORT gave back to the community by holding an outreach event at Silong Tanglaw Foundation in Quezon City last Sunday.
The Batang Pier, led by stars Terrence Romeo and Stanley Pringle, hosted brunch, a dance contest, and gave gifts to the underprivileged kids as their treat this Christmas season.
“Masarap yung pakiramdam na makapagpasaya ka ng mga bata, especially yung iba na walang magulang,” Romeo said in a chat with SPIN.ph. “Talagang kailangan nila ng pag-alaga, pagmamahal, so yun yung mga, para sa akin, hindi mabibili ng kahit anong pera sa mundo: yung makabalik ka ng tulong sa nangangailangan.”
Romeo added he would love to see the kids who took pictures with him also grow up as cagers in the future.
“I’m sure may mga pangarap sila, paglaro ng soccer, pagiging basketball player,” the Gilas Pilipinas standout said. “Ang sarap lang na someday, sana makita ko sila na, kung may picture man kami dati tapos heto na kami ngayon, natupad na yung pangarap namin.”
