GLOBALPORT has hit the reboot and will now be known as NorthPort Batang Pier for the season-ending 2018 PBA Governors' Cup.
The team bared the name change on Friday, unveiling a new logo on their social media accounts.
It was a longtime coming for the Mikee Romero-owned franchise, which has been in the league from the 2012-13 season and has gone a number of logo facelifts.
With Terrence Romeo and Stanley Pringle acting as the team's cornerstones, the Pido Jarencio-mentored squad reached new heights in the 2016 Philippine Cup, making it to the team's only semifinal appearance in its young history.
The Batang Pier are hoping that the change could also translate into wins as they bank on Pringle, Sean Anthony, Mo Tautuaa, and import Rashad Woods this conference.
