GLOBALPORT is considering changing its import after suffering a third straight loss in the PBA Commissioner's Cup Wednesday night.
But the timing poses a dilemma.
GlobalPort coach Franz Pumaren admitted looking for a replacement for Sean Williams in the aftermath of the Batang Pier's 113-96 setback against Barangay Ginebra at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
Williams finished with only 13 points and 12 rebounds in the loss. But bringing in a replacement at this time may pose a problem since the Batang Pier are seeing action again on Saturday.
"Of cours we're considering," he said. "But we play again Saturday so I don't think it would be a wise move."
The Batang Pier mentor said the team has no stand-by import at the moment.
"At this stage, wala pa," he said. "But we're considering all aspects."

Pumaren, however, didn't spare his local players from blame, saying they should've stepped up with the import playing below par.
"Our import may not be producing import-like numbers, so as I've said earlier, our locals should start doing their share," he stressed.
Still, Pumaren remains confident about the team's playoff chances notwithstanding a slow start to the mid-season tournament.
"I'm still confident. I'm not pushing the panic button yet. We still have eight games," he added.
