GLENN Khobuntin scored a career-high 19 points on Wednesday in TNT’s quarterfinal win over Phoenix Super LPG in the 2023 PBA Governors’ Cup.
Khobuntin went 5-of-10 from three-point distance to provide the spark in a 132-105 win over the Fuel Masters that sent the top seeds to the semifinals.

Khobuntin had a total of eight threes in the entire elimination round.
Khobuntin played down his contributions, saying he only took advantage of the opportunities he got in the game.
“They saw me sa corner and I take good shots,” said Khobuntin.
TNT coach Jojo Lastimosa said Khobuntin’s offense was a bonus, saying the bruiser's defense is what the team needs as it heads deeper into the playoffs.
That the former National University forward waxed hot from beyond the arc was no surprise for Lastimosa since it was, an aspect of his game that he has been working on.
“Even if Glenn wasn’t shooting the three in the last how many games, he has been working in practice,” said Lastimosa. “He is always the first guy who is there. Siguro nagbunga na ‘yung sinabi ko kay Glenn na don’t think too much about the offense.
“Your offense is going to be there. If you are wide open, shoot it. Getting the pressure off Glenn in terms of offense, I’m sure it helped him,” said Lastimosa.
