BARANGAY Ginebra plays an all-important game against Phoenix Super LPG in its bid to make the quarterfinals of the PBA 50th Season Governors’ Cup. TNT and Converge, meanwhile, duel for the best seed possible for the next round.

Here is a preview.

TNT VS. CONVERGE

When: Sunday, October 18. 5:15 p.m.
Where: Ynares Center-Antipolo

Seeding battle

TNT and Converge square off in their final elimination round assignments. A win will put the victors in third-place - and the Tropang 5G could actually go as high as No. 2 with a San Miguel loss to NLEX on Wednesday.

Converge gets test

After facing two also-ran teams, Converge finally gets a test against TNT. The FiberXers are on a four-game winning streak, with the last two games won by an average margin of 43.5 points.

RHJ gets tuneup

The 142-87 win of TNT against Macau last October 13 saw Rondae Hollis-Jefferson making his PBA return.

Still longing for local support

The game got away from Ginebra against Magnolia early, with the Gin Kings still yearning for support to import Jordan Murphy. RJ Abarrientos was the lone double-digit scorer among locals with 12 points.

Better seeding

Phoenix has already qualified for the quarterfinals after Friday’s 105-101 win over Meralco. The Fuel Masters can tie Magnolia at first-place in Group B with a victory over Ginebra.
