THE current Commissioner’s Cup Finals between Barangay Ginebra and TNT is on track to setting the best PBA attendance records over the last three seasons.
After Friday night’s Game 5 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, average attendance of the best-of-seven title series is now pegged at 15,285.

Friday's Independence Day game alone drew a live crowd of 18,039, just a little bit lower than the 18,607 registered in Game 3 held at the Mall of Asia Arena.
The average crowd attendance is the highest since Season 47 when the Ginebra versus Bay Area Dragons title series for the Commissioner’s Cup averaged 23,616.
The Kings-Dragons finals recorded the biggest ever crowd to watch a PBA game at 54,589 at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan during the winner-take-all Game 7 which Ginebra clinched, 114-99.

Meanwhile, the finals average crowd surpassed the number of attendance generated during the semifinals at 12,196 and featured Barangay Ginebra against Rain or Shine and TNT versus Meralco.
