ANTIPOLO – A total of 11,021 fans attended Game One of the PBA 49th Season Governors’ Cup Finals between Barangay Ginebra and TNT - the largest PBA crowd in the venue, according to PBA statistics chief Fidel Mangonon.
The crowd attendance surpassed the previous high of 10,952 set on December 21, 2011 during a quarterfinal doubleheader between Barangay Ginebra and Rain or Shine, and Petron and Meralco during the 2011-12 Philippine Cup.

Game One packed the Antipolo stadium to the rafters, with fans already at the venue several hours before tip-off.
Fans were still entering the venue even after the 7:30 p.m. tipoff.
The Sunday crowd was easily the biggest, so far, this conference after the games were held at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum, Ninoy Aquino Stadium, and the Philsports Arena.
Incidentally, Game One was also for a cause as the PBA announced before the finals that proceeds of Wednesday’s game will go to the victims of typhoon Kristine.
The third largest PBA crowd at the Ynares Center history is now the 10,411 that witnessed the 2016-17 Philippine Cup quarterfinals doubleheader of San Miguel against Rain or Shine, and Barangay Ginebra against Alaska on February 5, 2017.
The fourth largest occurred just last October 18 when 10,039 showed up in a pair of Game Five of the 2024 Governors’ Cup semifinals of San Miguel against Barangay Ginebra, and Rain or Shine against TNT.
