BARANGAY Ginebra's first win in a PBA Finals in almost four-and-a-half years sure has an effect on its multitude of fans.
The euphoria over the Gin Kings' 82-79 win over Meralco in Game Two on Sunday night has in fact prompted one female fan to come up with her own version of 'Sana Manalo Ang Ginebra,' an ode to the league's most popular club done by singer-composer Gary Granada in the nineties.
The Facebook video made by Maria Gracia Gonzales has since gone viral, perhaps because it updated the characters and scenario from the original Granada ditty to the current Ginebra cast now trying to bring back the glory days from the era of the legendary Robert Jaworski.

Since Granada wrote the song during the Jaworski days, Ginebra championships have been few and far between. The popular club has not won a title since 2008 and the Game Two win was in fact its first in a finals since beating TNT in Game Five of the Commissioner's Cup title series on May 6, 2011.
No wonder fans like Gonzales are excited enough over Ginebra's current title run to break out in a song.
Listen to the updated lyrics and you'll come across a new cast of characters in LA 'Tinyente' Tenorio, Jo Devance, Justin Brownlee, Dave Marcelo and Mark Caguioa, and, of course a fervent plea for Ginebra to end its eight-year championship drought.
'Tuldukan n'yo ang walo, talunin n'yo Meralco.'
Gonzales' video has already generated more than 800,000 views, 19,000 likes, and 33,000 shares since it was uploaded on Monday.
If you're a Ginebra fan, listen to the video and prepare to be touched:
