THE RJ Abarrientos era officially begins at Barangay Ginebra.
The No. 3 overall pick in the last draft was signed to a three-year deal on Monday by the Kings.
Ginebra team governor and SMC sports director Alfrancis Chua confirmed the signing to SPIN.pn afterwards.

The former Japan B.League and Korean Basketball League import also shared the news on his social media page with the emojis, padlock and crossed fingers.
Chua was on hand to welcome Abarrientos during the contract signing. The guard out of Far Eastern University was accompanied by his representative Edgar Mangahas.
Abarrientos will have his first taste of Ginebra basketball on Wednesday when the Kings travel to Macau for a one-night exhibition match against reigning P.League+ champion New Taipei Kings.
Also playing their first game with the team during the Macau sojourn are new acquisitions Isaac Go and Stephen Holt.
For Ginebra coach Tim Cone, the signing of Abarrientos is a deja vu of sorts as he also picked RJ's uncle, PBA legend Johnny Abarrientos, with the No. 3 overall selection during the 1993 draft while the two were still with the Alaska franchise.
