JAYSON David earned not only the trust of coach Tim Cone, but the entire Barangay Ginebra management as well.
The 28-year-old guard will be back for another tour of duty with the Kings after being given a two-year contract extension, a week before the opening of PBA Season 50.
Deputy coach Richard del Rosario was around when David signed the contract on Monday together with his representative Danny Espiritu.

For a long time relegated to the Ginebra reserve list, David was called up by Cone in last season’s Philippine Cup when LA Tenorio voluntarily agreed to be put on the unrestricted free agent list to focus on his job as head coach of Gilas Pilipinas Youth.
But even upon Tenorio’s return, the Kings kept David in the active roster and served as part of Cone’s bench mob that stretched eventual champion San Miguel to a deciding Game 7 of the semifinals, which Ginebra unfortunately lost.

Formerly of San Sebastain and Lyceum, David was a second-round pick of the Kings (20th overall) during the Season 47 draft after previously playing for Barangay Ginebra's 3x3 team.
