JAMIE Malonzo will sit out the season-opening PBA Governors' Cup for Barangay Ginebra.
Coach Tim Cone said the Fil-Am high-flyer is still out for the next three to four months, and therefore won't be available to play in the season's first conference.

'Jamie's going to be out for another two or three months, probably three or four months. I don't see him making this conference. We're really targeting him for the next conference if he can come back," said Cone during the PBA Media Day at the Le Parc Event Hall.
Malonzo continues to rehab from the calf surgery he suffered during the eliminations of the Philippine Cup that kept him out for the rest of the season and Gilas Pilipinas' campaign in the Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Riga, Latvia.
Malonzo was not around during the final day of the Media Day as he's still in the US.
