GAME Six of the PBA Governors Cup finals between Barangay Ginebra and Meralco now hangs in the balance following the fire at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
League officials will hear from the Bureau of Fire protection and the Smart Araneta Coliseum regarding the availability of the iconic venue for the 6 p.m game.
As it is, the 3x3 Second Conference grand finals has already been suspended until further notice, according to tournament director Joey Guanio.
Fire trucks had already left the venue five hours before game time, although thick smoke still fills the air of the Big Dome inside.
A sellout crowd is expected for Game 6 of the finals as the Kings go for the title clinching win against the embattled Bolts, who trail the series, 3-2.
A live audience of 18,251 were on hand for Game 5 last Sunday which Ginebra won, 115-110.
