BARANGAY Ginebra will still have 'Spark' in its lineup for the next two years.
Mark Caguioa, for so many, many years served as the face of the franchise, agreed to renew his ties with the PBA's most popular ballclub by signing a fresh two-year contract.
The deal meant the 36-year-old former league MVP would be back for a 16th straight season for the Kings, who he helped end an eight-year title drought recently by winning the season-ending Governors Cup.
It was not a max deal Caguioa signed for the team though, but still close to the P420,000 salary a player can receive at the most per month.
SPIN.ph sources said the Ginebra superstar has been signed up just before Sunday's 2016 Rookie Draft.
Two other key players in that championship unit will be back for the team in the coming new season namely, big men Joe Devance and Dave Marcelo after signing separate new deals with the Kings.
Devance, 34, whose fadeaway jumper in the final second of the Governors Cup finals against Meralco win it for Ginebra, 88-86, will be back for another season after agreeing to a P4.2 million contract, while Marcelo got a two-year pact amounting to P4.8 million.
