SCOTTIE Thompson nailed a late three to give Barangay Ginebra a 42-38 halftime lead over TNT in Game 6 of the PBA 49th Season Commissioner’s Cup Finals at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.
Thompson connected from the top of the free-throw circie with two seconds left, his first field goal of the match keeping the Gin Kings in the driver's seat in another low-scoring, defensive battle.

Japeth Aguilar led the way with 11 points for the Gin Kings, dominating the first half even after he was fouled hard by Glenn Khobutin during the second quarter.
Justin Brownlee added nine points and five rebounds for Barangay Ginebra in the first half.
Calvin Oftana heated up to score 14 points on 4 of 7 shooting from threes in the first half.
But TNT will be playing the rest of the way with big man Poy Erram in foul trouble after being saddled with three fouls after two quarters.

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, who gave TNT fans a scare when he crashed into an advertising roll-tech while trying to save a loose ball, and Rey Nambatac had 11 points each for TNT.
