GINEBRA coach Tim Cone felt LA Tenorio traveled before taking - and making - the game-winning jumper in a 102-101 victory over Phoenix in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup in Panabo on Saturday.
Tenorio added to his growing number of heroics this season as he converted from the left wing with 1.2 seconds left, but some fans questioned the play as he hesitated after stopping his dribble, looking for someone to pass to in the Gin Kings’ last play.
“I think LA shuffled his feet on the last shot, but the refs gave it to us,” Cone said.
“It was a tough shot anyway, no matter what he did,” he was quick to add.

The basket rescued the Gin Kings, who had to climb out of a deep 58-39 hole early in the third quarter.
“Still, I’m a bit shocked and didn’t know how we won that one,” Cone admitted. “They dominated us. We really got to play better than this.”
“We're playing like we won a championship and it's been eight years since we won a championship,” he added.
