“We are certainly concerned about our consistency,” said Barangay Ginebra coach Tim Cone, whose team was coming off a 112-93 loss to Magnolia prior to Sunday’s contest. “Hopefully, going into the playoffs, we need to be a more consistent team.”
Thompson combined with Jordan Murphy for 21 of the team’s 36 points in the first quarter to gain an early gap. A 29-17 second quarter by the Gin Kings put the game out of reach for the Fuelmasters.
Murphy had 28 points and 13 rebounds, while Jeremiah Gray was a revelation with his 12-point effort.

Marcellus Earlington had 22 points, but Ricci Rivero and Kai Ballungay were the only other players in double digits with 10 apiece unlike in their previous game against Meralco where they had six.
