THE Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) held a game for the ages on Sunday, drawing a record-shattering crowd for Game 7 of the Commissioner’s Cup Finals between Barangay Ginebra and Bay Area Dragons.

The Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan was bursting to the rafters in the most highly-anticipated do-or-die game in recent memory as a huge crowd of 54,589 was on hand to witness the two talent-laden teams battle each other out for all the marbles.
The figures broke the league’s all-time record of 54,086 that came to watch Game 7 of the 2017 Governors’ Cup likewise involving the Kings opposite the Meralco Bolts held also at the world’s largest indoor arena.
