GAME 5 of the PBA Commissioner’s Cup Finals between Barangay Ginebra and Bay Area Dragons drew the highest crowd attendance so far in the grueling best-of-seven series.
A total of 21,823 packed the Mall of Asia Arena on Sunday as the Kings and Dragons try to break a tightly-fought series that was tied at 2-2 going to the game.

Spotted among the crowd are matinee idol Daniel Padilla, actor Zanjoe Marudo, comedian Bayani Agbayani, Senators Bong Go and Joel Villanueva, and US Ambassador MaryKay Carlson.

The series is averaging 17,400 fans per game.
The audience is the second highest all-time for the league at the Pasay venue, just next to Game 7 of the San Miguel-Alaska finals for the 2016 Philippine Cup championship.
That memorable series drew 23,616 as the Beermen completed an epic comeback from 0-3 down in the series to frustrate the Aces.
