BENNY Boatwright arrived in the country on Sunday morning for the formal processing of his naturalization for Gilas Pilipinas.
Both Gilas coach Tim Cone and deputy Richard Del Rosario confirmed the arrival of Boatwright from Chinese Taipei, where is currently under contract with the Taipei Fubon Braves in the P. League+.

Del Rosario said the 6-foot-10 Boatwright is scheduled to attend the first in a series of Congressional hearings to process his naturalization.
The hearing is set on the 19th.
“He’s here until the 20th. Inaasikaso niya lang yung mga documents niya na requirements for the naturalization,” said Del Rosario at the end of Barangay Ginebra’s 102-93 win over Phoenix Sunday night in the PBA Philippine Cup at the UST Quadricentennial Pavilion.
“So we’re happy na itutuloy na ulit yung process for his naturalization sa Congress.”
