FEW heralded players so far have signified their intention to join the upcoming PBA draft on October 30.
Gilas cadet Carl Bryan Cruz is arguably already the most notable name in what looks like the shallowest draft class in years with the status of the rest of the national team standouts still uncertain.
The Café France star and Far Eastern University product, who played in the Fiba Asia Challenge in Iran last month, leads the initial 17-man list together with Filsports Basketball Association MVP Levi Hernandez of Arellano.
Mapua standout Joseph Eriobu, Jaycee Asuncion of Jose Rizal University, and D-League journeyman Jammer Jamito of St. Clare are the other notable names in the list.
AMA stars Rashwan McCarhthy and Ryan Arambulo, and Del League campaigner Timothy Habelito are the Filipino-foreign players in the list.
The youngest is Café France’s Aaron Jeruta, who turns 22 on October 16, while the oldest is University of the East’s Erwin Duran, who turns 28 next month.
The tallest is Ginebra practice player and former St. Benilde center Jericho de Guzman, who’s listed at 6’11”, while the shortest is Jeruta at 5’10”.
