TEAMS will get a closer look at this season’s rookie class when the PBA holds its Draft Combine which starts on Thursday at the Ynares Sports Arena in Pasig City.
The Draft Combine will be a two-day event starting with the measurements and biometrics on all 128 players who applied on Thursday from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.

The players were also divided into 12 teams grouped into four which will play in a mini-tournament starting Thursday at 2:05 p.m. with a champion, MVP, and Mythical Five also to be named during the second day on Friday night.
Before the mini-tournament, an orientation on the Uniform Players’ Contract will also be held for the rookies.
Expected to be on the spotlight in the Draft Combine are Geo Chiu, Juan Gomez de Liaño, Jason Brickman, Will Gozum, Ljay Gonzales, and Dalph Panopio.
A team to watch in the draft combine tournament is Chiu and Gozum, who were assigned at NLEX (Team B-3).
Chiu, 6-10, a former Gilas Pilipinas member, and Gozum (6-6), an ex-NCAA MVP, are among the notable bigs in a guard-laden draft class.
Brickman was assigned at Barangay Ginebra (Team A-2), Gomez de Liaño at NorthPort (Team C-1), Gonzales at San Miguel (Team D-1), and Panopio at TNT (Team D-3).
