CHICAGO - As the New Year beckons, Geo Chiu is charting a new beginning in his basketball journey.
After careful consideration. a tedious process that involved his family and agent representation, the No. 1 pick overall of the 2025 PBA Rookie Draft has agreed to join Terrafirma Dyip.
"It's a done deal, " multiple sources told SPIN.ph on Tuesday afternoon.

The signing and formal announcement of the three-year max deal is scheduled in the next couple of days.
While the top pick is eligible to get the league max, the rules do not obligate the team which owns the players rights to pay the P420,000 a month package.
But Terrafirma did, and for good reasons.
At 6-foot-8 and 225 pounds, Chiu adds much-needed size to a perennially lackluster Dyip team that bowed out of the Season 60 Philippine Cup with a dismal 1-10 won-lost record.

Not only does the 24-year old center bring the cache' as the No.1 pick, he also has championship pedigree with two titles with Ateneo in the UAAP and one MPBL crown with Abra.
While the Weavers lost a rim-runner and rim protector, the team is said to be "happy for Geo," sources said.
