Mahindra veteran Gary David not letting personal crisis get in the way of work

    Apr 19, 2017

GARY David is setting aside whatever personal crisis he is undergoing at the moment in order to help Mahindra turn its campaign around in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup.

The veteran gunner shared scoring honors with Reden Celda among Floodbuster locals with 13 points in a 109-80 rout at the hands of undefeated San Miguel Beer on Wednesday night at the Astrodome.

David was 6-of-12 from the field and had three rebounds in 15 minutes of play in Mahindra’s sixth loss in seven outings.

His heroic effort came at a time when he is facing a protracted court battle with his estranged wife, who recently filed complaint charges against the 38-year-old cager.

David said he hasn’t received any subpoena yet from the court from the two cases filed against him by his wife.

And in the absence of such, he’d rather not comment on the matter at the moment.

“Wala pa akong nakukuhang subpoena kaya hindi pa ako puwedeng magsalita,” he said.

But he did admit his marriage of 15 years has come to an end as he already filed for annulment, a copy of which he claimed has already been received by his wife.
