BOCAUE, BULACAN - Game Seven of the PBA Governors Cup Finals between Ginebra and Meralco drew 54,086 fans to the Philippine Arena, breaking the all-time attendance record in the league's 42-year history.

Friday's attendance shattered the previous record of 53, 642 set just two days earlier in Game Six also at the Philippine Arena, regarded as the world's biggest indoor arena.

"Wow, this crowd is grabe," exclaimed Ginebra coach Tim Cone at the end of Ginebra's 101-86 win over the Bolts in the winner-take-all match.

With Game Five luring 36,445 fans to the Bulacan venue, the final three games of this best-of-seven finals alone posted a staggering attendance of 144, 173.

Before this finals, the league attendance record stood at 52,612, set during the 2014 season opener that featured a game between Ginebra and TNT.
