A TOTAL of 16,783 fans witnessed Game Four of the PBA 49th Governors' Cup Finals won by Barangay Ginebra on Sunday at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum, the largest turnout in a league game in a year.
The PBA enjoyed the biggest turnout since Barangay Ginebra defeated Bay Area Dragons in Game Seven of the 2022-23 Commissioner’s Cup finals before 54,589 fans at the Philippine Arena.

Sunday’s attendance also surpassed the turnout at the Big Dome for Game Three where 11,320 watched the Gin Kings beat the Tropang Giga, 85-73, on All Saints’ Day.
League attendance has declined since that Ginebra-Bay Area finale, but the fans are coming back for the intriguing clash between the Gin Kings and the Tropang Giga.

Game One of the finals last October 27 already saw 11,021 fans in attendance for TNT’s 104-88 win over Barangay Ginebra at the Ynares Center, the largest PBA crowd in the venue’s history.
Wednesday could be another hit with crowd favorite Ginebra gunning for a 3-2 lead in the series over TNT after conceding the first two games of the finals.
