ARWIND Santos, Alex Cabagnot, Macrio Lassiter and the Beermen erupted in a delirious celebration as confetti rained down the court and players got drenched in drinking water in the locker room — partying like it’s the first time.
It’s their fifth straight All Filipino championship, actually, but San Miguel is elated, especially after being pushed to the limit by Magnolia in the title series.
It also isn’t the first Game Seven clincher for the Beermen during this reign, having survived Alaska in title deciders twice, but San Miguel is ecstatic after claiming this title by a hairline.
