    Beermen drenched in love, adoration after end to Commissioner's Cup dry spell

    SAN Miguel Beer added another milestone to the storied PBA franchise’s rich history in disposing the TNT KaTropa in six games to become the 2017 Commissioner’s Cup champion on Sunday.

    The Beermen thus ended a 16-year drought for the title in the midseason tournament, winning their fifth crown in eight conferences under coach Leo Austria and extending the PBA record for most championships by a single franchise to 24.

    The Big Dome was rocking with SMB’s accomplishment as the players, coaching staff, team management, their family members and the fans celebrated the feat that put the Beermen one title away from another Grand Slam. lensmen were on the ground to capture the celebration as the Beermen drowned in smiles, hugs and selfies after claiming the Commissioner’s Cup crown.
