GABE Norwood gave the playoffs duel between Rain or Shine and Blackwater a little thrill down the stretch after throwing down a vicious two-handed slam off an alley-oop play.

The high-flying guard took the pass from Jeff Chan and slammed one in, with a foul to boot coming from Mike Cortez, putting a little highlight to the Elasto Painters’ 95-90 win on Saturday at the Mall of Asia Arena

Norwood sank the bonus free throw for the and1, giving the Elasto Painters a 91-83 lead they never relinquished.

“It was a good pass. Jeff put it right there on the money,” said Norwood about his highlight reel play. “It’s been a while since we connected in one of those plays.”

“We just have to play a little bit smarter, especially going into the next game,” he said as the team braces for either Talk 'N Text or NLEX in another knockout game for a berth in the best-of-seven semis.

Still, Norwood is not about to give up on the third-seeded Elasto Painters, especially if they get on track once again.

“We have tomorrow to really figure out what’s going on and get it right. We just have to be ready,” he added.
