FRIDAY the 13th proved to be lucky for someone who just celebrated his birthday.
A day after turning 27, RR Garcia caught fire early for San Miguel Beer in its 107-101 overtime victory over Rain or Shine on Friday night in the PBA Philippine Cup.
While Alex Cabagnot rescued them from defeat, it was who Garcia who kept them afloat early as he registered all but one of his 17 points in the first three quarters, built around four triples, on top of three boards and two assists in 24 minutes off the bench.

“Sinwerte lang. Blessing lang ‘yun,” Garcia said.
Coming in averaging just 2.7 points on a woeful 14.3-percent shooting in his last three games, the fourth-year playmaker, acquired in a trade in the offseason, regained his touch as he ended up with his best offensive performance in an SMB uniform so far.
