RAIN or Shine has tapped former Star reinforcement Joel Wright as its import for the 2019 PBA Governors' Cup.
Head coach Caloy Garcia confirmed the news after the team was able to get the clearance from the Purefoods franchise. Wright played for the Hotshots back in 2016, serving as a replacement for Marqus Blakely.
He averaged 28.4 points, 14.5 rebounds, 2.7 assists, 1.8 steals, and 1.4 blocks in the seven games he played, although it wasn't enough to help Star advance to the playoffs.

Wright last suited up for BBC Monthey in Switzerland, where he normed 15.5 points, 4.3 boards, 2.5 steals and 1.3 rejections.
He is set to arrive and join the Elasto Painters practices early next week.
