FORMER Rain or Shine import Jamelle Cornley is facing numerous charges after he was arrested by police in Quezon City on Wednesday morning.

Initial reports by radio station DZBB said employees at a hotel in Timog Avenue called police after Cornley made a scene inside their premises.

Cornley was hauled to jail after he resisted arrest and even punched a police officer, according to DZBB.

The DZBB report also said that the police officer Cornley punched is in “serious condition” and has been rushed to a hospital for treatment.

At posting time, DZBB reported that it took several police officers to subdue the hulking import and lock him up in a cell.

Quezon City Police District Station 10 chief Sr. Supt. Marcelino Pedroso told DZBB that they will be filing charges of direct assault to person in authority, alarming scandal, and malicious mischief against Cornley.

But police authorities are also investigating an incident that started Cornley’s tirade.
