LJAY Gonzales has entered his name in the PBA Season 50 Draft after his decorated career with Far Eastern University in high school and college.
Gonzales’ agent Rey Punongbayan confirmed that the former FEU guard, who currently plays for the Quezon Huskers in the MPBL, has already applied for the PBA draft.

In his final year with the Tamaraws, Gonzales made it to the Mythical Five during the UAAP Season 86 (2023-24 academic year) along with the likes of Kevin Quiambao of La Salle, Evan Nelle of La Salle, Malick Diouf of University of the Philippines, and Rey Remogat of University of the East.
He averaged 14.79 points, 7.9 rebounds, 3.14 assists, and 2.0 steals during his final year with the Tamaraws, and had similar numbers during his playing career after the UAAP.
The 6'0 Gonzales, one of the early names who applied for the draft, formed a one-two punch in the backcourt with RJ Abarrientos at FEU from high school to college before Abarrientos turned pro and played in Japan.
Gonzales was the Finals MVP for the Baby Tamaraws during the UAAP Season 79 (2016-17 academic year) juniors basketball tournament when they beat National University.

Gonzales, 26, is currently the second leading scorer of the Huskers with an average of 10.6 points, while also contributing 5.5 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 2.0 steals through 19 games.
In his first season with Quezon, Gonzales normed 9.8 points, 5.1 rebounds, 3.8 assists, and 1.3 steals through 35 games.
