RICHIE Rodger has signed a one-year extension with NLEX, determined to come up with a good showing for the coming season after an injury kept him out for most of the 49th Season Philippine Cup.
The No. 7 pick in the Season 48 draft was given a vote of confidence by the Road Warriors despite seeing action for only four games during the recent Philippine Cup due to a bout with appendicitis.

Rodger last played on May 7 against Barangay Ginebra where he played 14 minutes and had two points and three rebounds.
“After missing most of our last conference with appendicitis, I’m excited to be back with the team after seeing how well we played getting to the quarterfinals,” said Rodger, known for his outside shooting and defense with the Road Warriors.
NLEX will be out to bounce back from its quarterfinal exit in the recent Philippine Cup after squandering a twice-to-beat advantage against Rain or Shine, and Rodger will be looking to help achieve that goal.
“It was unfortunate that we fell short with the twice-to-beat advantage, and that was tough for everyone, but that serves as motivation for us going into PBA Season 50,” said Rodger.
“I’m very happy to remain with NLEX. I think we’re building something special here, and I’m thrilled to be a part of it,” said the 28-year-old Fil-Kiwi.
Present in the contract signing were team governor Ronald Dulatre, team manager Virgil Villavicencio, and Rodger’s agent Marvin Espiritu of the Espiritu Manotoc Basketball Management.
“I’m really looking forward to taking the court again and hopefully I can contribute and help us take the next step as a team,” Rodger said.
