CONVERGE defeated Blackwater, 92-87, on Wednesday in their tune-up game ahead of the PBA 50th Season Commissioner’s Cup.
Archie Concepcion scored most of the points for Converge as the FiberXers were without Juan Gomez de Liano and Justine Baltazar due to their Gilas Pilipinas commitments.
The game saw the two imports Kylor Kelley of Converge and Daniel Ochefu of Blackwater seeing action in a tune-up game for the first time for their respective teams with the two putting on good performances for their squads.
It was Converge’s second win in tune-up games, with the first one against Terrafirma, 97-96. The FiberXers, however, also lost to Phoenix, 104-96.
