A BLOCKBUSTER in the making.
Long queues formed outside the Mall of Asia Arena early Sunday hours before the PBA Commissioner's Cup Finals opener between Barangay Ginebra and Bay Area Dragons, which has all the trimmings of a big hit in the box office.
Tickets for the Christmas Day opener of the best-of-seven finals were sold out as early as Friday and fans trooped early to the MOA Arena, excited to see the league's most popular team go up against the foreign guest team.
Attendance was later placed at 18,252, the largest in a PBA game since 20,224 watched Game 6 of last season’s Governors Cup Finals also at the MOA Arena between Ginebra and Meralco which the Kings won, 103-92, to clinch the title last April 22.
