TROY Rosario understandably puts family and love ahead of career on Saturday as he is set to miss Game Six of the PBA Philippine Cup semifinal series between his TNT Katropa and San Miguel Beer.
The Texters sophomore forward will tie the knot with his college sweetheart Mich Aguas when TNT tries to close out the Beermen and advance to the all-Filipino finals.
The church wedding at the Immaculate Conception in Cubao is actually the first anniversary of the couple’s civil wedding and has been planned two years earlier.
The ceremony is set at 3 p.m. while Game Six will begin at 6 p.m. at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
Rosario's expected absence leaves Mo Tautuaa, Kelly Williams, and Ranidel de Ocampo to carry the frontline duties for the Texters against the June Mar Fajardo-led Beermen.
Rosario was held to just two points on 1-of-5 shooting, although he hauled down seven boards and one block in 21 minutes off the bench in the Game Five victory.
“Siguro kabado siya kasi malapit na yung kasal,” Mich joked after the win.
