SHE’S a mathematics and computer science graduate, but for the beauteous Mirela Sundov, family has to come first.

The ever-supportive wife of Rain or Shine's Croatian import Bruno Sundov swears she’s ready to shelve her personal dreams just to be with her husband as he travels the world playing for a living.

As wife and mother to two children, Mirela, who can easily be mistaken for a model or an actress, considers herself as the glue that binds the family together.

“I am married to an athlete and we have a happy family. But he (Bruno) would always go to different countries, so I have to give up something,” said Mirela when Spin.ph caught up with her and the entire Sundov family at the Mall of Asia Arena.

"He has to go on with his career, and after he finished (with his work), then I will work."

Mirela’s two adorable children, Bru (aged five) and Jacob Bruno (two), always come with them whichever part of the world the 7-foot-3 Sundov's job takes him.

At a young age, both children had already travelled a lot, so much so that Bru – who got her name from Daddy Bruno – has changed passport four times already.

And mind you, Mirela, who is also from Croatia, said traveling with little kids for more than 24 hours is no easy task.

“But I have to do it. I have to keep my family together. It’s the most important thing in the world than any career,” said the family-oriented Croatian, who stands around 5-foot-8.

While she understands the giant expectations on her husband as the tallest import ever to play in the PBA, Mirela said her role as an athlete’s wife and mother to two growing kids is just as demanding.

Yet, she’s not complaining. After all Mirela still believes family is one of the most important things in life.

“Even if you have the best career ever, but at the end of the day, you don’t have a happy family it will all be for nothing,” she said smiling.

“It doesn’t matter if you’re rich or famous, it’s your family that matters most.”
