June Mar Fajardo celebrated his record-tying fifth Best Player of the Conference award in the best way possible - a win for San Miguel.
Fajardo matched his mentor and fellow San Miguel great Danny Ildefonso for the most number of BPCs won, but for the soft-spoken giant from Cebu insisted it's championships - not individual awards - that for him are the true measure of greatness.
"Mas maganda kung sampung championship para masaya naman lahat," the ever humble Fajardo said, moments after a 94-85 San Miguel win over Ginebra in Game Four of the PBA Philippine Cup Finals at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The 6-10 center is now a step closer to another championship after the Beermen took a 3-1 lead against Ginebra. Fajardo was dominant as usual as he finished with 20 points, 13 boards, three assists and two blocks.
Fajardo, however, said the hardest part is closing out the never-say-die Kings.
"Malamang next game bounce back sila, kailangan lang namin maging ready."
