TALK 'N Text big man Ranidel de Ocampo has gone carbo-loading with extra cups of rice as he prepares for Game Three of the PBA Philippine Cup Finals against Rain or Shine and its notorious 'Extra Rice Inc.'
De Ocampo, the hero in the Texters' 89-81 win in Game Two on Friday, expects the Painters to raise both the intensity and the physicality while trying to battle back from a 0-2 deficit in the best-of-seven series.
And he is set to come prepared.
Sinangag pa para mas mabigat," chuckled the sweet-shooting big man from Tanza, Cavite.
“Must-win na talaga sila. Expected naming yun. Kaya ready na kami dun," he added.
As it is, battling the Painters' two beefy frontliners - Beau Belga and JR Quinahan - is no easy task for de Ocampo and the rest of the Tropang Texters, de Ocampo said.
Jason Castro, Talk 'N Text's best performer in the series so far, should be the primary target of the Painters' bruising defense, his teammate said.
