FIVE names are already secured, but that won't ruin the suspense when the 2019 PBA Rookie Draft unfolds on Sunday.
New beginnings once again dawns as 67 aspirants hope to hear their names called on Sunday at Robinsons' Ermita in Manila.
The only thing sure is that the quintet of Isaac Go, Allyn Bulanadi, Rey Suerte, and twins Matt and Mike Nieto will be taken in the special Gilas round by the top five teams in the draft order.
Upon the drafting, the teams will acquire the rights for each of the five, which will all be later released on loan to the Gilas Pilipinas pool.
From there, all bets are off with Columbian making the top overall selection. Following suit will be Blackwater, NLEX, Alaska, and Rain or Shine making their picks from the sneaky deep field.
But it seems like one can't go wrong with the bevy of talent this class has.
Fil-Ams Roosevelt Adams and Sean Manganti stand out, but not far behind are collegiate stars Jerrick Balanza of Letran, Kent Salado of Arellano, Valandre Chauca of Adamson, and Arvin Tolentino of FEU, as well as MPBL studs Mike Ayonayon of San Juan and Aris Dionisio of Manila.
