FORMER Terrafirma import Khapri Alston died in a reported shooting incident in Dolton, Illinois on Saturday (Manila time).
Alston suited up for the Dyip in the 2019 PBA Governors’ Cup under former coach Johnedel Cardel during the rookie season of CJ Perez.

In a report published by Fox32 Chicago, Alston was at Rucker Cigar Lounge with his girlfriend when an argument or confrontation broke out before shots were fired, according to family members.
Alston, 31, was fatally shot and died later on.
A person is currently in custody of Dolton police as Alston’s family wanted a full investigation on the shooting incident.
Shenier Alston, father of the pro player, said the family was devastated by the loss of his son.
The 6-foot-3 product of Midwestern State University, he played for the Dyip seven years ago and averaged 28.5 points, 18.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists, 2.5 steals, and 1.3 block shots in 11 games.
Columbian, though, failed to make the playoffs and finished at 10th-place with a 4-7 record.
Aside from the Philippines, Alston also played in Chile, Indonesia, Uruguay, Argentina, Bolivia, and the United Kingdom.
