NLEX heaved a sigh of relief as Poy Erram escaped any serious injury during Saturday’s match against Phoenix Pulse.
NLEX coach Yeng Guiao said a medical exam ruled out any fracture or dislocation for Erram after he got entangled with Phoenix Pulse big man Dave Marcelo in the first half of the Road Warriors' 123-116 victory.
However, Guiao said Erram will still sit it out for at least two weeks due to a collateral ligament sprain in his left elbow.
“One week in a sling … At least two weeks out of action,” Guiao said when asked about the status of Erram.
Following Saturday’s game, Guiao feared a possible fracture for his starting center while saying that he felt Marcelo did it on purpose.
Marcelo, longtime teammate of Erram at Blackwater, denied the accusation.
