DUGOUT PEEK: Subdued mood after win testament to Alaska focus

LIKE the first time Spin.ph took a peek inside the Alaska dugout, there was no sign of jubilation in the Aces' locker room after a scintillating 104-90 win in Game Two of the PBA Commissioner's Cup Finals moved the Uytengsu franchise within a win of its first championship in three years.

Except for relentless rookie Calvin Abueva who vowed to go all out in Game Three, the mood of most Alaska players inside the locker room at the Mall of Asia Arena was eerily subdued - a testament to the team's complete focus in the playoffs.

A few words from veteran Tony dela Cruz best captured the moment.

"We're not too excited," said one of the team leaders. "We have one more win to go."

In the video, also see import Rob Dozier talk about the Best Import race, Eddie Laure explain the mood why the Aces are not celebrating yet, and gunner Dondon Hontiveros apologize to Ginebra big man Billy Mamaril for a shoulder-first foul during Game Two.
