RR Pogoy hopes to be fit to play in Game Two after aggravating his ankle injury on his right foot in TNT’s series opener with San Miguel on Monday night in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup quarterfinals.

Pogoy landed awkwardly and twisted his right ankle late in TNT’s 121-110 loss to San Miguel late in the fourth quarter.

“Dating tapilok pa ‘to tapos pagtalon ko, natapilok ako kaya lalong sumakit,” said Pogoy, who added he didn’t stepped on any foot during the incident.

When asked if he will play in Game Two, Pogoy answered: “Sana, sana makalaro ako. Pero kakayanin ko.”

Pogoy was at the forefront of TNT’s attack as he finished with 17 points and four rebounds. Unfortunately, his efforts went for naught as the KaTropa lost a 23-point lead to drop an 11-point decision to the Beermen.

Game Two is on Wednesday at the Smart-Araneta Coliseum.

Pogoy said the foul trouble woes of Joshua Smith had an effect on the team in Game One.
