BLACKWATER suffered a double-whammy in its opening game in the PBA Commissioner’s Cup on Wednesday night.
Before losing to the Tropang TNT, 108-102, the Elite earlier lost starting big man JP Erram after their top local center man hit his head after a defensive play halfway through the first quarter.
The 6-foot-8 slotman was brought to St. Luke’s E. Rodriguez after the game following the injury he sustained when he fell on his back after a successful block attempt on Ranidel de Ocampo with a little less than six minutes to play and TNT leading, 17-11.
“Okay naman siya, pero pina-MRI lang para makasigurado,” team manager Johnson Martines said.
