DIGOS – The Mindanao All-Stars got one over Gilas Pilipinas not just on the court, but on the dance floor as well.

Apart from coasting to a 144-130 win in the first leg of the PBA All-Star week in this city south of Davao, the Mindanao natives also beat the Nationals in the dance-off before tipoff at the Davao del Sur Coliseum.

The Mindanao All-Stars showed off their dance moves, with Jio Jalalon and Scottie Thompson flashing the liveliest routines and more flexible bodies that drew loud cheers from the virtual home crowd.

Thompson and Jalalon, a pride of Cagayan de Oro, capped off their routine by approaching their Gilas counterparts as if to challenge them to another round.

“Ayos ba yung sayaw namin?” Thompson asked with a smile at dinner after the game in the venue where he danced and played in front of his hometown.

By winning the annual side event, the Mindanao selection is pocketing a prize of P100,000, while Gilas sttles for the P50,000 runner-up prize.
