DENZEL Wong made his PBA debut on Tuesday when he suited up for Titan Ultra in its 50th Season Governors’ Cup game against the Macau Giant Pandas.
Wong played for the Giant Risers a year after he was drafted in the fourth round at No. 40 by NLEX but later left unsigned by the Road Warriors. He previously played in the Pilipinas Super League, MPBL, PBA D-League, and The Asian Tournament.

Wong scored three points in nine minutes and four seconds of play after making his only three-point attempt of the game, while also tallying one rebound, one assist, and two turnovers.
Curiously, however, the 33-year-old Wong played his first PBA career while being listed as an assistant coach of Macau prior to the start of the Governors’ Cup, sowing confusion since it created an optic that Wong played against the team that he was supposed to be coaching.

A check with the PBA indicated that Wong has been released by Macau a few days ago, meaning he is no longer an assistant coach of the Giant Pandas.
As such, Wong is free to sign anywhere, either as an assistant coach or even as a player.
