AFTER Rommel Adducul, now its legend William ‘Bogs’ Adornado.
In its continuing effort to improve its team, Blackwater management has tapped the services of the three-time PBA MVP to become the shooting coach of the Elite.
Adonado, considered one of the top shooters in Philippine basketball history, already joined the Elite on Tuesday in a team-building session in Subic.
He was actually at ringside on Saturday at the Ynares Center in Antipolo to watch Blackwater’s game against Meralco, which the Elite lost, 99-94.
Adornado is expected to work with several of the Elite’s guards and wingmen such as Allein Maliksi, Mike Digregorio, Rafael Banal, Gelo Alolino, Roi Sumang, and rookies Paul Desiderio, Diego Dario, and Matt Salem.
The hiring of Adornado comes on the heels of Blackwater’s move to get the services of retired center Rommel Adducul to be the team’s big man coach.
The Subic team-building session is crucial for Blackwater, which has seven new players out of its current 18-man roster in the Philippine Cup.
The team won’t see action again until Jan. 30 when it plays Rain or Shine at the Astrodome.
