DEQUAN Jones vows to come back better and stronger should another opportunity arise for him to suit up for NLEX.
The 36-year-old import has already completed his surgeries for the dislocated ankle and fractured right fibula he suffered in the Road Warriors' PBA Governors' Cup game against TNT almost two weeks ago.
The second of his two scheduled surgeries was successfully performed Friday morning at the Cardinal Santos Medical Hospital.

"He's (DJ) very open of coming back and complete his unfinished business here," said NLEX team governor Ronald Dulatre, who visited Jones at the hospital on Saturday.
Jones' parents, Clady Jones and Irene Bell, flew all the way from the US to be with their son in one of the trying moments in his basketball career.
The NLEX import is expected to be discharged from the hospital anytime within the week.
Dulatre said the Joneses are expected to return home together on Sept. 4, while DJ's parents expressed gratitude to NLEX management for taking care of their son.
Dulatre said the team plans to host a dinner to the former NBA player before their departure and at the same time to welcome Jones' replacement Deonte Burton.
Before leaving, Jones steered NLEX to a league-best 7-2 record and a spot in the playoffs of the season-ending conference.
